At the camping site
Camp sites and car parks are located around the edges of the festival site, alongside the 3 main access roads into Werchter. There are about 20 of them, divided into 3 zones:
- Zone A alongside the access road from Haacht (only accessible via Haacht).
- Zone B alongside the acces road from Rotselaar (only accessible via E313 and via Rotselaar).
- Zone C alongside the Betekom-Werchter road, and alongside the Werchter ring (only accessible via Tremelo and Aarschot)
Warning: Werchter bridge, where three approach roads meet, is closed off to all traffic. Bear this in mind when you try to reach a particular car park or camping.

Camp sites open at 08:00 AM on Thursday (not one minute before) and remain open until Monday at noon. It is strictly forbidden to pitch your tent on Wednesday. You will be sent away. If you like it or not, Rock Werchter causes a great deal of inconvenience to the people of Werchter. Thanks to a climate of collaboration and mutual understanding, Rock Werchter and local residents have always been able to maintain a decent relationship, and we like to keep it that way.
A festival ticket does not give you the right to stay at one of our camping facilities. We strongly advise you to order your camp-site ticket beforehand. Not only is it cheaper (17 Euros instead of 22), it also increases check-in speed upon arrival. Camp-site tickets can be ordered by telephone, through the internet or by SMS. More information at “tickets”.
Should you decide not to buy a presale camp-site ticket, you can still obtain one upon presentation of your festival ticket at the entrance of the camping facility (22 Euros). Should you fail to present a valid festival ticket, you will be denied entrance to the camping facility!
Please bear in mind that you need to buy one camp-site ticket per person and not per tent!
Upon arrival at a camping facility, you will be given a camp-site wristband on production of both a valid camp-site and festival ticket. This wristband does not only guarantee you a spot at that particular camping facility, it also features the number of the facility, so you should never have a hard time finding your camp site and tent. Each facility has a different manager and they are not interlinked at all. In other words, a wristband of facility A1 does not allow you to stay at facility A3 and vice versa. The manager will not let you in or make you buy a new ticket + wristband. We urge you to agree on which camping facility you and your friends would like to stay before coming to Werchter.
As the name already suggests, you can find the website of campsite C3 here: a very nice campsite within a stone’s throw of the festival grounds .
SHOWERS AND LAVATORIES ON THE CAMPING
The local councils of Haacht and Rotselaar have ordered all camp-site supervisors to provide free washing facilities (taps) & toilet paper and a sufficient amount of free lavatories on their camp sites. They are allowed, however, to charge for extra facilities such as showers.
DRINKING WATER
All camp-site managers are required to make the necessary arrangements measures to provide campers with fresh drinking-water (free of charge).
FESTIVAL SHOP
It is no longer necessary to drag along a heavy backpack filled with food. At the bridge of Werchter a festival shop will be opened again this year. You will be able to find the things you need to survive four days of Rock Werchter.
SAFETY
All camp sites will be divided into different zones by means of special tape. All tents must be set up in the proper spots. Between the zones, fire lanes have been foreseen. These need to remain clear at all times. Tents in the fire lane will be removed immediately.
THEFT
A tip: leave your valuable stuff at home. And whatever you do, don’t leave them in your tent, unguarded. None of the organizing parties (camp-site supervisor, festival organiser, local authorities) can be held responsible for possible theft.
TRASH
In order to keep the camp sites as clean as possible, each camper will receive a bin liner on arrival. The idea is to leave it behind (full) when you leave, on a dedicated place.
MOBILE PHONES
All mobile-phone operators (Proximus, Mobistar and Base) have foreseen a temporary increase of capacity. This means you should not be confronted with overloaded networks. Please contact your mobile-phone operator, should this be the case.
FIRST AID
The Red Cross and MUG (Medical Urgency Team) Leuven have people on shift in all camping areas.
LOST AND FOUND
Lost objects will be taken to the police container at the information point (Werchter bridge). Unclaimed objects will be taken to the Rotselaar town hall after the festival, where they can be claimed as from Thursday July 9th in the afternoon.
DISCLAIMER
Rock Werchter’s camp sites are run by local associations, not by the festival’s organisers. The latter cannot be held responsible for any abuse on camp sites. Complaints should be lodged with the camp-site supervisor. Of course, problems may be pointed out to the local authorities of Haacht or Rotselaar ánd to the festival organisers as well. All camping-related matters are co-ordinated by the local councils of Haacht and Rotselaar. They have drawn up the rules with regard to pricing, opening hours, number of toilets, wrist bands, illumination, firebreaks, cleaning...
There will be three campsites provided for camper vans, all at the end of the approach roads to Werchter. Camper vans are welcome at campsites A7, B8 and Klokkeberg. Parking your camper van will cost 35 euros. Moreover, you need to be in possession of a valid campsite ticket. The best way is to buy it on the spot.

Right at the entrance to the festival ground, in the A zone, Rock Werchter in collaboration with Intro have foreseen a camping zone for festival-goers with a handicap. Friends and relatives... of handicapped campers are welcome at this facility as well, of course. Just like any other camping facility, this one requires a valid camp-site ticket. At the reserved camping facility, there is an assistance tent, where you can leave and pick up your wheelchair at night. Furthermore, there are adapted toilets, aids like a hoist, a nursing bed, a toilet stool...You can also count on free assistance by licensed carers for e.g. setting up a tent, toilet and food assistance, transport. Do not hesitate to turn to one of the licensed carers whenever you need help. Should you own a European (blue) parking card and should you really get into trouble if you do not find a parking space close to the festival ground, then you can leave your car at this camping facility. But bear in mind that we expect people with a handicap who wish to use this service, and who possess a valid festival ticket, to contact us no later than Wednesday June 17th:
