How to get there?
Public transport is the most practical – and most convenient – way to get to Rock Werchter.Leuven railway station is the centre point of the festival weekend. It’s easily accessible, wherever you come from. The De Lijn bus company is running a continuous shuttle service between Leuven railway station and the festival site. Upon presentation of your festival ticket you will be able to take the train from anywhere in Belgium to Leuven and back again, all for free. Moreover, the special bus service between Leuven station and the Festival Park is included in the price of your festival-ticket. Leuven is also the ideal meeting point to drop people off and/or find people that you are looking for.
Classic festival tickets for Rock Werchter (all kinds of one-day tickets and four-day passes) are also valid for use on NMBS trains, more specifically for one second-class outward and one second-class homeward journey from/to any Belgian railway station to/from LEUVEN and comprise also the return trip for the final section (by bus), a special service set up by De Lijn between LEUVEN railway station and Werchter's festival park, for the period of Thursday 2 July 2009 through Monday 6 July 2009. Festival-goers should retain their festival ticket and must produce it for inspection at all times during the outward and the homeward journey.
E-FESTIVAL TICKETS are not valid on trains or buses as such. Each e-festival ticket entitles you to one free E-TRAIN TICKET, which can be ordered from www.nmbs.be/rockwerchter as from 03 June 2009 using the NMBS code mentioned on your e-festival ticket.
Beware: the e-train ticket bears your name, is non-transferable, non-returnable and non-canceable. These e-train tickets are valid for use on NMBS trains, more specifically for one second-class outward and one second-class homeward journey from/to any Belgian railway station to/from LEUVEN and comprise also the return trip for the final section (by bus), a special service set up by De Lijn between LEUVEN railway station and Werchter's festival park for the period of Thursday 2 July 2009 through Monday 6 July 2009. Festival-goers should retain their e-trainticket and must produce it for inspection (along with an ID card) at all times during the outward and the homeward journey.
