Top of the bill on the wish lists for Werchter 2009. As a matter of fact, Kings Of Leon are on top of most lists these days. Their latest album, ‘Only By The Night’ (2008), reached #1 of the Belgian Ultratop chart and has gone gold. The singles ‘Sex On Fire’ and ‘Use Somebody’ entered the top 10 of the charts.

So it comes as no surprise that Kings will be performing at Rock Werchter for the third time in a row. We usually reserve this honour for our most-beloved guests (Kaiser Chiefs, Queens Of The Stone Age, Therapy?...) And the feelings are mutual. The brothers Followil (Nathan, Jared and Caleb) and cousin Matthew have fond memories of Werchter. 

In 2007, Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder joined in. He had so much fun that he smashed his tambourine. And last year they also had an interesting supporter: the graceful Liv Tyler. We are very curious what it is going to be this year…
